JOURNAL #4 - TURN OFF THE NEWS!
Oh Hey Doll....
There's no doubt that we are
all feeling a little bit p*sed
off with the 'C WORD'
(I refuse to say it, I don't need
that negativity in my life boo)
After catching it I am so there with you!
But after 5 days of having a PITY PARTY.
But after 5 days of having a PITY PARTY.
I come to a realisation.
It's not going anywhere soon.
After being in ISO myself, I have
added a few things to my daily routine
to put myself in a better head space.
So I created myself a little
'C WORD ISO GUIDE'
1 - Limit Social Media
I have noticed myself slipping into using
social media more and more. I have more
time on my hands and it's easily done.
Social media especially 'Insta' really does
effect my mood and puts me into a state
of comparing. I have put an 2 hour limit
on social media to prevent that and found
other things to do, such as read or listen to
a podcast.
2 - TURN OFF THE NEWS!
It may seem so simple, but it's one of
the most effective. You can get yourself
so wrapped up in the media and what it's
telling you. Most of it is CRAP!
We know 'C WORD' is there we do not
need to be told every minute of the day.
The news only puts us all in more fear and
distress.
3 - Use FREE helplines
If you are in isolation or just feel like
the weight of the pandemic is to much
please use the information below to call
someone and talk it out ♡
https://www.mhe-sme.org/library/helplines/ (Worldwide)
4 - Keep in contact with family and friends
CALL THEM! - calls are far more effective and
can help feel connected when you're unable
to see a person face to face.
Non verbal ques are lost during text.
There is no emotion and messages do not
show how we actually feel (especially in a tough
time like this)
5 - Meditation, Yoga, Journal
Of course these are a part of my guide.
My holy grail of being present and calm.
During my isolation I have felt every single
emotion possible and no where to put that
energy.
- I journal out how I feel in that moment (a
much better way, instead of trashing my room
It did cross my mind)
- Meditate to bring myself back present and
let go of the feelings I just released.
- A yoga practise to continue my calm state, before
I carry on with my day.
6 - Find a hobby
What do you love doing? for me I love blogging
I love inspiring, I love making reels, I love talking
about my travels. So instead of wallowing, scrolling
through Instagram I channelled my extra energy into
doing that
Sign up for a new course
Read a new book
Learn Spanish
7 - Have a movie marathon
This is something I would never do (or finish)
as I am always so busy, so I decided to start the
Marvel movies (did you know there are 26)
It's going well we are on number 16
