Journal #2 - Everything happens for a reason!
Oh Hey Doll,
It's not something you want to hear
when you're at your lowest point.
Quite frankly couldn't give a sh*t
about the bloody quotes.
Well yes, I was at rock bottom
(heartbroken) and was trying to find that
reason. Nearly 2 years, 6 books, 24 hours
of meditation, 52 yoga sessions and it
hit me. That 'ahhhh haaaaa' moment
The quotes. They're right!
I sit here thankful, grateful, happy that it
happened. I am the person I am now because
of that really crappy time.
Once I figured that out, rewinding back a
few years, I quickly started to notice all
the bad moments transformed into blessings.
G R A T E F U L.
Now I have a better outlook on them
CRAPPY TIMES. Going forward my
outlook is different. Yeah! crappy things
happen, but I believe something better is
always around the corner.
So I Challenge You
Create a timeline of your life and all the
CRAPPY things that happened. Now
add the good things, the proud milestones
and really happy moments.
Start from the beginning and notice
the pattern, the growth, what
you've learnt and how them experiences
really shaped you. Not only do I see the positives
in all the bad experiences... but now it gets
easier when something bad does happen.
I learnt to not let them completely
take over my life, I don't spend so much
time dwelling and find ways to see the
positives (not straight away). I see it as
growth and learn that the universe has
something else in store for me.
Thoughts of the day
Feel all of your feelings
Listen to your body.
If you try and fight it you'll feel worse.
As soon as you give in and really listen to what
your body craves, the feeling will fade a lot
quicker than it would if you fight it.
I really struggle to chill out, relax and
not stick to a routine so I sometimes really
struggle with doing nothing.
I have really tried to start doing this more and
have noticed so many benefits.
Example -
If my body is telling me to be lazy
I lay in bed all day and watch friends
If I want pizza I eat it.
If I want a day of work just for me and
my mental health I have a day off.
